The Music of Smash is the first soundtrack album to be released by the TV show Smash. It is to be released on the First of May. The album is being released in standard and deluxe versions :
- The standard version will feature thirteen tracks, consisting of six covers and seven original songs (all written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, with the exception of "Touch Me", which is written by Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, Bonnie McKee and Noel Zancanella).
- The deluxe version being sold at Target, features five bonus tracks (covers only) for a total of eighteen.
